And there it goes!

And there it goes! Hoping that the “And” can this time go on for a while- after a long sabbatical I felt like penning down my thoughts again..it’s like the motivating factor was lost somewhere in the mayhem of Bombay- my beautiful city and home! What do I miss about Bombay?- boy this could take a while! As usual no structure, so I may ramble something now and much more later..getting back- food, mumma, friends, late night drives, the kiddo’s and most of ALL- the sense of belonging to that place!
That thing about walking into a train and looking at fellow Indians to see how they are dressed up..how they look and blah blah but really speaking you want to find out how well they have adjusted to living away from home..I’ve heard some pretty darn interesting conversations..I didn’t mean to ofcorse, but Indians take care of that part- if you know what I mean..:P

Sydney is very welcoming though no shops/cafes will welcome you in after 5 pm (except Thursdays). They strongly believe that the laborers (I know I shouldn’t call them that) also “have a life” and so if you somehow for some God for saken reason (read: work, laziness, mood swings) miss shopping on a Thursday- then wait your turn for the next week! ~sigh! On a brighter note, is that what really helps in bridging the gap between the upper and lower class (it’s almost non-existent). It’s nice to see people greet each other with respect, people greeting strangers (my base for most comparisons will be Bombay and a bit of the lah land here and there).
There is a lot of “please” “sorry” “thank you” and most of all “No worries” :P

I’ve recently been introduced to the 3 phases you would generally go through when you move to a new place:
  • Super excited/nervous/want to see/know everything phase
  •  You are settling in and also start missing home
  • Everything is routine and want something new to keep you going!
The above apply only to Indians as far as I see it because our culture does not really let us move out of the house at 18 and live independently. This mixed array of feelings that I have (happy/sad/scared/unsure/figuring a way out/adjusting) and I’ve strongly started to believe I needed this much earlier in life. Figuring out what you want in or out of life could take a while- I am still as clueless as I was when I first started writing though I’ve matured in my style of writing since then :P (Eoww! Those earlier posts were written by me- so naïve!)

“Happiness is not a destination. It’s a mood-comes and goes and it’s ok for it to be that way”
One Tree Hill never seizes to amaze me with all the brilliant quotes (including the one above) and can work as an instant mood elevator in my case J, but that got me into thinking more about what is “Happiness” for me- is it being closer to friends and family, is it my job, is it travelling the world (I would love to have a combination of all three- now that I think of it!)..but travelling the world is the most recent on my list. A few years ago I never thought that could be my passion or a mere possibility- but now it surely is- I realized that I love exploring new places and someday wish to explore most parts of the world if not all :P

So I’m a happy child again with a new aim to look forward to! Experiences of crazy+beautiful trips I’ve had so far is the next thing I want to probably write about after I stop procrastinating!
